The son of a political prisoner was promised to release his father
Baku / 28.09.18 / Turan: Condemned adviser of the chairman of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Mamed Ibrahim will be released on September 29, said his son Turan Ibrahim, the head of the jail N16 Shahin Hasanov. It is in this jail that Mamed Ibrahim is serving a prison term and where Ibrahim was imprisoned two days ago. According to the son of Ibrahim, his father was imprisoned on September 27 in a punishment cell allegedly because of the discovery of a knife under his pillow. This happened two days before his release.
This fact was regarded by the relatives of Ibrahim and members of the Popular Front Party as a provocation with the aim of bringing a new charge against him and condemning him on a new article without releasing him.
Mamed Ibrahim was arrested on September 30, 2015 and subsequently convicted under the Article 221.2.2 (hooliganism with police resistance) of the Criminal Code for 3 years imprisonment. Human rights activists recognized him as a political prisoner.-06D-
