The term of arrest of the activists of the Popular Front was prolonged until December 9
Baku /18.09.18/Turan: Nasimi district court today extended the term of arrest of activists of the Popular Front Party - Agil Maharramli, Babek Hasanov and Ruslan Nasirli until December 9. The cases were considered separately, all the activists stated that they did not plead guilty. They also said that they were subjected to inhuman treatment at the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Lawyers opposed the extension of the arrest for another three months, the PFPA press service reported.
* On May 25, the PFPA activists Agil Maharramli, Ruslan Nasirli and Babek Hasanov were arrested. They were arrested together with the former head of the Gadabay region, Saleh Rustamov and his nephew Vidadi Rustamli. Everyone was accused of "laundering dirty money", which was expressed in the transfer of PPFA donations collected from Azerbaijani businessmen in Russia. All the accused are recognized by human rights defenders as political prisoners.-03B06-
