The trial in the case of the elder of the settlement of Nardaran is postponed
Today Baku Serious Crimes Court began a preparatory meeting in the case of the chairman of the council of elders of the village of Nardaran Natig Kerimov and former deputy chairman of the Islamic Party Inglab Ahadov accused of treason.
The meeting was presided by Judge Eldar Ismayilov, but during the meeting Ismayilov rejected himself. He explained it by the fact that the investigation was conducted by the investigation department of the State Security Service, and the son of a judge - Ismailzade Emil, was a member of the investigative team.
Ismayilov said that in such cases, the law prohibits the judge to hear the case. Withdrawal was satisfied, said another judge - Javid Huseynov.
He noted that the new Chairman will be appointed by the head of the Baku Serious Crimes Court.
After the court session, Natig Kerimov told reporters that he did not plead guilty. Ahadov was arrested on January 27, 2015 in Salyan region. The investigation did not explain what exactly is meant under the high treason in the case of these persons.–06D--
