There are 93 names in the updated list of political prisoners
The Working Group on the compilation of a single list of political prisoners has updated data on detainees. The report of group reminded that in the previous list in May this year there were 80 names.
Three names were excluded from the list, including Leyla and Arif Yunus. However, the list includes the new political prisoners - 16 people. As the selection criterion was applied PACE Resolution N 1900 of October 3, 2012. Thus, the number of political prisoners for today is 93 people. The group left in the list the names of persons, despite some relatives were against it and opposed the "politicization".
In particular, the list includes relatives of the chief editor of "Azadlig" newspaper Ganimat Zahid - Rufat Zahidov and Rovshan Zahidov, satirical poet Tofig Hasanov, a relative of the head of "Meydan TV" Emin Milli - Nazim Agabayov, brothers of Gunel Mevlut, the editor of "Meydan TV" - Vekil Imanov Raji Imanov.
New name on the list was Gunel Hasanli, the daughter of the head of the National Council Jamil Hasanli; she is condemned to serve their sentence in a penal colony.
In addition, the list includes the deputy chairman of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party Fuad Gahramanli, adviser to the head PPFA Mamed Ibrahim, an activist of Nakhchivan branch of PFPA Zeynalabdin Bagirzade, PFPA activist in Nakhchivan- Nazim Mahmudov.
In addition, the list of three members of Nurmovement - Ismail Mamedov, Revan Sabzaliev, Hajiyev Eldaniz, Shahin Hasanov, and Zakaria Mammadov.
The case of Thale Bagirzade , the leader of the "Muslim unity" Movement, arrested during a special operation in Nardaran, is also under the supervision of the group.-06D--
