There is not a lawsuit against Ali Abbasov, prosecutors
The information that a lawsuit has been filed against former communications minister Ali Abbasov, is not true, said the head of the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office Eldar Sultanov. According to him, the case was filed against several former employees of the ministry on charges of theft and embezzlement, forgery and abuse, the investigation continues. In particular, were revealed the facts of thefts at tenders, receipt of kickbacks, payment poorly executed orders for the Ministry, and so on. The total amount of theft was approximately 73.5 million manats. Total number of arrested is more than 10 senior officials of ministries and agencies, included in it.
