Thirty-three prisoners infected with coronavirus in penitentiary institutions of Azerbaijan
Baku/12.05.20/Turan: Testing was carried out among prisoners and employees in prisons in Azerbaijan, including the penitentiary facility number 13, to detect COVID-19 infections, the Justice Ministry said on May 12.
In 33 convicts, the tests gave positive results.
They were immediately quarantined and measures were taken to treat patients.
Currently, the health of patients is stable and they are under the supervision of doctors.
Along with this, the risk of the spread of the virus is completely localized and all the necessary medical equipment and medicines for treating patients are provided.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, comprehensive disinfection, medical, preventive and other preventive measures are carried out, the Ministry of Justice said. –06D-
