Three countries will not be able to take part in the Islamic Games
Baku / 10.05.17 / Turan: The number of countries participating in the Islamic games to be held in Baku has decreased, the operating committee of the Games reported. These are the delegations of Sudan and Libya, and the athletes from Kuwait will act under the flag of the Sports Federation of Islamic Solidarity (İHİF).
The reason for the absence of the delegations of Sudan and Libya is not reported. However, according to media reports, these countries refused because of financial problems and could not finance the participation of their athletes.
As for Kuwait, this country has been punished by the International Olympic Committee because of the government's interference in the affairs of the National Olympic Committee.
The Fourth Games of Islamic solidarity will be held on May 12-22 in Baku. More than 3000 sportsmen representing 20 sports will take part in the competitions. -05D06-
