Three victims of domestic violence - police did not intervene
Baku/21.02.22/Turan: On February 20, a family conflict occurred in Nizami district of the capital, following which the mother and her two children - Gulnar Garakhanov (1983), Lamia (2008) and Atakhan (2011) Garakhanovs were killed.
The murder was committed by Ahad Aliyev (1981), the husband of the deceased woman's sister. Thus, the detained Aliyev was found 20 thousand manats which he took from the house of the deceased.
However, the case received a great public response also because the neighbors called the police when they heard children screaming and noise in the apartment.
According to reports in social networks, neighbors called the police, however, they did not enter the apartment believing it was a "family conflict. The killing of three people took place after the police left the scene.
In turn, Ehsan Zakhidov, head of the press service of the Interior Ministry, said that an official investigation was being conducted. "If any inaction or negligence on the part of the police is established, appropriate measures will be taken," he said. -02D-
