On October 9 Binagadi Court of Baku chaired by Sadraddin Hajiyev will consider the claim against the journalist Khadija Ismayilova. The lawsuit was filed by former activists of the Popular Front Party of Elman Hasanov (Turkoglu.) The reason for the suit became a "document", published on Facebook by Ismaylova. Turkoglu argues that the disclosure of this paper harmed "his honor and dignity."
The document states that Turkoglu is a secret informant of the Ministry of National Security and is a homosexual. For this reason, Hasanov sued under Article 147 (defamation.) In turn, Khadija Ismail has denied the charges, saying that there is not Elman Hasanov’s name in the document. In addition, the paper originally appeared on the Internet long before publications by Ismaylovs.
