Trial on Taleh Baghirzadeh and Fuad Gahramanli to Start July 19

The preparatory meeting on the criminal case against the leader of the movement Muslim Unity Taleh Baghirzadeh and another 17 people accused of committing several serious crimes is scheduled in the Baku Court of Grave Crimes for July 19. The case will be considered by judges chaired by Judge Alovsat Osmanov. Turan was told in the court office.

The case also involves the Deputy Chairman of the Popular Front Party Fuad Gahramanli. Defendants in the case are accused of organizing illegal actions in Nardaran last November.

Recall that in the course of a special operation in Nardaran on November 26, 2015 six people were killed in the crossfire, including two policemen.

Total in this case about 70 people are involved, mostly members and supporters of the movement Muslim Unity. They are accused on a number of articles of the Criminal Code: an attempt to forcibly change the constitutional system, the creation of an organized armed criminal group, etc. Some of them have already been convicted for illegal possession of weapons.

PFPA deputy chairman Fuad Gahramanli is accused of anti-state calls, inciting religious hatred, and incitement to riot. -16B06-
