Trila in the case of Elgiz Qahramanov will begin soon
In the coming days will be held a preparatory meeting in the case of Elgiz Gahraman, youth activist of NIDA Movement. The case will be considered at the Baku Serious Crimes Court presided over by the judge Azad Medjidov. Gahraman maintains good spirits, reads book in jail, and even makes logical tests, said the lawyer Fariz Namazly.
The activist was arrested on August 12 on charges of large scale drug trafficking. According to investigators, 3,315 grams of heroin were found with him. However, the members of the NIDA Movement are convinced that the activist is persecuted for political reasons. Human rights activists have recognized him a political prisoner. -06B-
