Truck driver who killed four people detained
Baku / 11.05.19 / Turan: In the course of operational search, police and prosecutors detained an İVEKO truck driver who committed an accident on May 10 in the village of G.Z.Tagiyev.
As a result of the collision of a truck with a car "Mersedes" the latter overturned into a ravine. The driver of the "Mersedes" Saleh Musayev, born in 1974, passengers Mahabbat Musayev born in 1967, Amil Mamedov born in 1973, and Vidadi Nuriev, born in 1987- all died.
İVEKO driver Ilham Hasanov fled the scene.
A lawsuit has been filed under the Article 263.3 (violation of road rules and the operation of vehicles, resulting in the death of two or more persons) and 264 (escape from the scene) of the Criminal Code.
The truck driver was detained today on May 11 and interrogated with the participation of a lawyer. The necessary investigative measures are continuing, the General Prosecutor"s Office said. -06D-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
