Two Men Arrested for Illegal Felling of Trees
Baku / 25.07.17Turan: Two people have been arrested for illegal cutting of trees. According to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, a group of people in the Khatai district of the capital cut down 10 trees, causing damage to the nature amounting to 6,600 manat. Investigation of the fact is conducted in the General Directorate for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General.
As a result of the investigation, it was found out that the residents of Baku Ilyas Bagirov and Fuad Behbudov illegally cut down about 10 trees on a plot of 2.5 acres, on which, without any right, a private house was built. A criminal case was opened on the fact.
Ilyas Bagirov and Fuad Behbudov are charged under two articles of the Criminal Code: 188.2 (conducting construction on a land plot without statutory right to property, use or lease) and 259.2.3 (preliminary collusion for illegal cutting of trees with damage). In respect of both, arrest was chosen as a measure of restraint. -03D04-
