Ukrainian citizen demonstrates against war in front of Russian embassy
Baku/23.05.22/Turan: Today a resident of Azerbaijan and citizen of Ukraine, Elena Aziz held a solitary protest in front of the Russian Embassy.
Wearing the flag of Ukraine, she raised a banner with the slogan: "Where you are, there is blood" against a background of blood stains and photos of victims of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The woman chanted slogans "Russia is the aggressor!", "Russia is the occupier!", "Putin is the occupier!", etc.
The police officers took the poster from the woman and pushed her away from the Embassy building.
The woman continued to speak in front of journalists' cameras: "As a citizen of Ukraine I am against Russian aggression. The bloody January 1990, the Khojaly tragedy and the aggression against Ukraine are all the work of Russia. "Glory to Ukraine, Glory to Heroes, Death to Enemies!" the woman chanted.
After that, police officers detained the protester and took her to the police department of Nasimi district.
