Unclear explanation of the Attorney General in the case of Khadija Ismayilova

Temporary restriction of the travel  of the journalist Khadija Ismayilova  is associated with a criminal investigation  in the General Prosecutor's Office, o said the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office to the question about the reason for  ban on Ismaylova’s  leaving the country.

"There was a need to further interrogating her as a witness, as well as her participation in other investigative actions. For this reason,  her travel was restricted," said the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.

Ismaylova  herself told that she was not notified in advance of any investigative actions. The reporter noted that in February and March, she was questioned in the prosecutor's office, but did not take a subscription of not checking out.

Ismaylova said that she was  pre-ordered to report on upcoming trips,  and she did so, informing the public prosecutor's office and messages on her page on Facebook.

In February-March Ismayilova  was questioned in connection with the publication of material on Facebook about the recruitment agent for the MNS of the number of opposition. This material was sent to her by e-mail, and the prosecutor's office was interested in the disclosure of the source of "state secrets."

It is noteworthy that on the basis of this material  a former member of the opposition Elman Turkoglu sued Ismayilov, although  in the document  his  name was crossed out, and  the MNS  sent a reply to the court that this "document" was a fake.
