Vandalism on the Alley of Martyrs
Baku city prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit on the fact of vandalism of tombstones in the Alley of Martyrs on the night of August 22 in Baku under the Article 245 (insult tombstones), according to a press release from the Prosecutor General.
The investigation is conducted by the Investigation Department of the Chief Police Office of Baku. Measures are taken to establish the identity of perpetrators of vandalism, and bring them to justice.
On the night on August 22, unknown people grave offended the grave of the spouses Ilham and Fariza Allahverdievs.
Ilham Allahverdiyev was killed during the events of January 1990, and his wife committed suicide in protest against the death of her husband and the occupation of Baku by the soviet troops. 03D04-
