Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan dissatisfied with criticism from Washington and Paris
Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry rejected the criticism of the U.S. State Department and the French Foreign Ministry in connection with the death of a prisoner citizen Karen Petrosyan. The statement says that Petrosyan entered the territory of Azerbaijan as part of sabotage and intelligence group for sabotage. "He was captured when resisting the enemy's attack."
Petrosyan died "suddenly and cause of death were transparently investigated by medical experts, and the ICRC was immediately informed."
Unlike Azerbaijan, Armenia violates the requirements of humanitarian law, including the Geneva Convention "On protection of victims of war" of 1949. "The Armenian conducts mass kills, tortures, causes anguish, subjects to inhuman and cruel treatment, brings Azerbaijani citizens to suicide," said in a statement.
In particular, was mention ill treatment, the application of particularly cruel and degrading torture against Shahbaz Guliyev and Dilgam Guliyev, the murder of Hasan Hasanov, as well as "cowardly and despicable terrorist-subversive provocation on the front line on 31 July and 1 August." Targeted inflation the case of Karen Petrosyan and giving it political color is aimed at hiding the Armenian barbarism.
Indifference of the OSCE Minsk Group - the United States and France to the above facts and their statements "under the influence of the propaganda machine of the radical Armenian Diaspora are puzzling and not acceptable."
"We call on France and the United States to show a principled position on the settlement of the conflict, not to show the double standards and bias in expressing condolences and concern," said the statement reads.—06D-
