Vardanian has disappeared from public discourse

Baku/13.02.23/Turan: Since February 7, 2023, Moscow billionaire Ruben Vardanyan has not appeared in the press, there is no information about him.  On that day, one of the leaders of the Armenian separatists, who they call "State Minister" Ruben Vardanyan left Khankendi in a truck of Russian peacekeepers to Yerevan, to fly to Moscow to hold important meetings there," Yerevan's "Hraparak" website reported.

In Moscow, Vardanyan was going to find out the position of official Russia, which was not responding to Armenians' calls to unblock the Lachin road.

Azerbaijani media published the news of Vardanyan's "flight", but as there was still no confirmation of his departure from Karabakh, some experts questioned the veracity of this information. Other commentators agreed that if Vardanian or someone else did not refute the claims of Vardanyan's departure, then he was indeed in Moscow.

But there is no information from Moscow about his arrival. The website of Russian Armenians https://yerkramas.org does not even mention the name of Vardanyan, the second man in the ranks of the separatists after A. Harutyunyan.  Nor is Vardanyan's name in the Armenian media.

His supporters reported that "Artsakh State Minister Ruben Vardanyan held an online meeting with Artsakh students studying at Armenian universities. Acting Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Hasmik Minasyan also took part in the meeting". Judging by the photos and Minasyan's participation, Ruben communicated with the students while in Khankendi, as the date of the meeting is not specified. Most probably, the online meeting took place before his departure.

This indicates that Vardanian did indeed flee. The version that Vardanian was dismissed from his position as "State Minister" in order to free Araik Harutyunyan's hands to negotiate with Baku has been confirmed. Since President Ilham Aliyev declared that he would not hold a dialogue with the "envoy from Russia".

Today's information fpr reflection is the post by popular Yerevan blogger Roman Baghdasaryan, reporting on the fire at the headquarters of Dashnaks in Khankendi. The blogger points out that the fire was intentionally not extinguished, so as to burn all the documents available there.  The information is accompanied by a photo, which shows soot over the door of a one-storey stone house. A month ago Baghdasaryan said that by not allowing a dialogue with Baku, "bandit Vardanian was terrorising Karabakhis and must go away".

Meanwhile, Yerevan politician Ruben Mehrabian considers Vardanyan's silence as a success of the Armenian politics, as every statement of the "state minister" has become a problem for Karabakh people and Armenia.-0-
