Veterans complain of the Sharur executive power

A group of members of the former self-defense detachment of Sharur region of Nakhchivan complains against the executive area. Twelve former volunteers, participants in the fighting in defense of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, not receiving response to the appeal to give them the status of veterans, complained to the Nakhchivan administrative economic court. Judges of the latter last met the veterans’ claims and ordered the district authorities to respond to veterans treatment.

"While there was a court, we got the answer came from the district authorities, stating that there are no documents confirming our participation in the self-defense units. At the same time, the authorities do not recognize the proof the notes in our military tickets,  the seal  of the Sharur Staff  of self-detachment, video  on which we bring the oath," said one of the veterans Hyakimeldostu Mehdiyev.

He noted that in November last year  President Ilham Aliyev supported giving the status of veterans to the participants of the volunteer divisions, and then the  Cabinet recognized the corresponding resolution. Therefore, the veterans are going to sue the Sharur executive power. -06D—
