Vice Admiral Shahin Sultanov released from custody
The court's decision to change the measure of restraint former Commander of Naval Forces of Azerbaijan, Vice Admiral Shahin Sultanov. He was arrested on charges of official forgery, theft and embezzlement. Preventive measure was replaced by house arrest. According to the lawyer Adem Mammadov, the court made the decision taking into account Sultanov’s merit’s in the military and state awards. The defense also petitioned to dismiss the criminal case and justify Sultanov. If the application is rejected, the case will be sent to court. According to the lawyer, the charges of Sultanov are unfounded. Total in this case as defendants are 35 people, many of them free.

In a bid to modernize and regulate the taxi industry in Baku, mobile patrols of the state traffic police have launched a series of raids aimed at ensuring that taxi drivers comply with newly established requirements.
