The representatives of the State Committee for Work with Religious Communities met with believers in Jalilabad (250 km south of Baku).
At the meeting, it was recommended that the faithful "should not abuse" the conditions created for them. Otherwise, against those who violate the traditions of tolerance, relentless struggle will be conducted.
Addressing the meeting, the experts - theologians advised religious communities to preach religion “in a right way” and to preserve tolerance.
The Committee also discussed the global implications of the radical religious thinking and the problems caused by discrimination of trends and the possible solutions.
Note that in the southern region of Azerbaijan, where the position of pro-Iranian groups is traditionally strong, the social base of Islam is strong enough. Protest mood of the population is largely initiated by these groups, which are often referred to as "pro-Iranian." -05D-
