On August 5 at 19:32, during search and operational activities in the territory of the "Lankaran" border detachment, border guards discovered a cache containing 5.6 kg of marijuana. Operational search measures are being conducted to identify drug couriers, according to a statement from the State Border Service.

On August 7, the Central Election Commission (CEC) released a list of venues designated for campaigning in the extraordinary elections for the Milli Majlis (National Assembly). The CEC has also published on its website a list of both open and closed spaces available for meetings with voters. The list reveals that a total of 5,113 venues have been allocated, with 3,259 open and 1,854 closed locations.

As a result of operational search activities, at 17:15 border guards found a large batch of marijuana weighing more than 25 kg and 1,600 M-40 methadone tablets were found and seized on the territory of the “Getepe” border guard.
