Baku/14.07.17/Turan: Former general, ex-chief of the Main Directorate of Security in the field of energy and transport of the liquidated MNS Akif Chovdarov at a trial in the Baku Military Court told about the million theft by the former head of Bakmetro Tagi Ahmedov from the budget, his property in the country and abroad. Chovdarov said that at one time, on behalf of the leadership of the country took control of Tagi Ahmedov, checked his activities. According to the former "chekist", T. Akhmedov "misappropriated millions", allocated to the metro from the state budget. Chovdarov said that the former head of the subway, through his son Ruslan Ahmadov working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, transferred millions of dollars to offshore accounts. Tagi Ahmadov, in turn, at the trial, said that Akif Chovdarov took a bribe of $ 3 million from him, and demanded his money back. It should be noted that often law enforcement bodies, having initiated criminal cases on the basis of information published in the media, prefer to keep silent about the statements of officials about large bribes. Information is also not provided on how Akhmedov earned millions, about his tax obligations, although Chovdarov at the court said he had informed a high-ranking official of the Prosecutor General's Office about this. At the trial, the state prosecutor said that there is no investigation in the prosecutor's office regarding Tagi Akhmedov. Akhmedov himself stated at trial that he had accumulated 3 million manat for the years of his work. However, the experts are not satisfied with this statement. Experts examined the issue of his salary for 44 years of work.

"Tagi Akhmedov, born on February 1, 1948, earned AZN 3 million during his 44-year labor activity from 1970 to 2014. If this money is divided into 44 years, it turns out that Akhmedov earned 6818 manats a year, and every month - 568 manats. It turns out that for the whole of his working period, working as a worker in the tunnel, as a senior master in the tunnel, as chief of the tunnel construction service (1994-1998), and finally as head of the metro from 1998 to 2014, he received 568 manats a month. Somehow, it will be unconvincing that Tagi Akhmedov is the head of the family and the father of two children, he put his salary in order to finally give it to Akif Chovdarov, "one of the experts said. Economist Rovshan Agayev wrote on his page in facebook, 3 million manat, which the former head of the subway gave former employees of the MNS is just the sum of his "pocket expenses". "In the period from 2007-2013, 1.250 billion manat was allocated from the state budget for construction of the underground, and about 100 million manat as subsidies. On average, this amounts to 192 million manats a year. However, this does not end there, because the metro itself also has an annual income," Agayev wrote. The expert writes that during the period of Tagi Ahmadov's management the incomes from the passage, commercial objects, advertising made up at least 60-70 million manats. In the absence of strict control over state funds, earning 250 million or more was not so difficult. To allocate such huge sums illegally only Tagi Akhmedov is unrealistic, since the country has numerous controlling structures responsible for spending budget funds for the purpose. If in due time for one "like" in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs experienced diplomats were dismissed, then why are no structures responsible for watching the son of the metro head "invest" in offshore companies? The authority of the government is to inform the public about investigations into squandering of funds.

The chairman of the Muasir Musavat party, former presidential candidate Hafikh Hajiyev told the Yeni Musavat newspaper that Chovdarov said that even he himself is under arrest, it's true that this must be investigated: "Akif Chovdarov is not an ordinary man. He headed for many years the Office had the authority to investigate what is happening in transport. Of course, Tagi Ahmedov will not come out and say that he stole from the people 200 million dollars. The facts are obvious, it remains only to take the daddy and fill it with the sheets of the criminal case on these facts. "The party chairman believes that the court should authorize the arrest of Tagi Ahmadov. "He was removed from office, put on a mask and went to the party "Yeni Azerbaijan", heading the Yasamal branch. He needed this post to avoid arrest. Those who betray the head of state today are mainly members of the ruling party. Let's take at least the "business of signalmen." As it became known, the chairman of the Central-Revision Commission of the New Azerbaijan Party, the former chief "Aztelekom" Muhammad Mammadov engaged in corruption, stole budget funds. Mammadov today is under arrest, Tagi Ahmadov urgently needs to be sent to him. The issue of Ahmadov must be urgently put on the agenda and expelled from the ranks of the party. This man stole $200 million from the Azerbaijani people. This money should be withdrawn from him and returned to the budget," Hajiyev said. Turan failed to get comments in the Interior Ministry and law enforcement bodies. -03B04-
