Witnesses evade attending the trial in the case of NIDA activists

 The trial in the case of seven activists of the NİDA Movement and Ilkin Rustamzade, a member of the organization "Free Youth," continued in the Baku Serious Crime Court. According to Nemat Kerimli, it was planned to listen to two witnesses. However, the court has not provided them with incentive to attend . One of these witnesses was a witness during the search.

Another witness is the owner of 94 thousand manats, seized at the home of the accused, Shahin Novruzlu. At the moment this person is abroad, and it is impossible to determine his location.

Then experts read conclusions about allegedly found drugs and "Molotov cocktails"  in the apartment.

The process will continue on April 10.                                                               

* All of the defendants were arrested in March and April 2013 on charges of plotting riots during a protest on March 10 against non-combat deaths in the army. They were also charged hooliganism and the illegal possession of explosives, and drugs. Amnesty International recognized all arrested as "prisoners of conscience." - 16D-
