New and important details appeared in the investigation of riots in Guba region. In particular, two persons, who have placed the scandalous remarks of the Chief Executive, Rauf Khabibov, on the Internet and wrote a comment to them, have been identified. These persons have been detained, Turan was told by the lawyer Elchin Sadikhov.
He reminded that so far, the director and editor of the TV channel "TV Khayal" Vugar Gonagova and Zaur Guliyev were accused. However, the names of persons involved in these new cases are not reported. At the same time, the emergence of new defendants in the case could help lift the charges against Gonagova and Guliyev in the organization of unrest, said their lawyer.
"Until now, these two journalists have been accused of placing a controversial video on the Internet, which caused mass confusion of the local population in Guba region on March 1. However, now it appears that they did not commit acts that caused the riots. All this increases the probability of their release," said the lawyer. Sadikhov also noted that new investigative actions against Gonagova and Guliyev are not carried out.
* On March 1 this year, up to 10,000 people held a protest rally in Guba region, demanding to remove Chief Executive, Rauf Khabibov.
