At night on July 7 the police attacked the villages affected by floods in 2010 in Sabirabad region, local branch of the PPFA reported referring to the website Gunxeber.com.
Police officers wearing masks invaded the villages Minbashi, Poladtogay, Azadkend, Chagyran, and Khankechan. About 7-8 cars raced through the villages at high speed, scaring the local residents, who were in their homes, putting them in horror.
They insulted ll people. Several people were detained for no reason and then released. Angry "the guardians of order" beat Rafik Rasulov, a 61-year-old resident of the village of Poladtogay.
The operation was conducted in order to intimidate the local population, so that they did not demand from the state fair distribution of aid to the victims.
According to information received by Turan agency, the attackers were dressed in civilian clothes and armed with guns. They rode in cars with no signs of police designations.
Periodic arrests and interviews with the most active individuals have been taking place over the past three months in the worst areas affected by flooding.
Thus, the authorities are trying to close the theme of the flood which has brought disaster to thousands of people and unprecedented, in its scale, cynicism to the flood victims.

Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property.
