Authorities Make It Clear They Won’t Release Tofig Yagublu
Baku / 16.09.20 / Turan: Vice Prime Minister and Executive Secretary of the ruling party New Azerbaijan Ali Ahmedov accused the opposition of speculating on the Tofig Yagublu case in order to get out of the "political coma".
On his Facebook page, he wrote that "The radical wing of the opposition is trying to get out of the political coma, using the Tofig Yagublu factor."
According to him, “Yagublu was punished for the crime committed on the basis of a court decision in compliance with all procedures. Now his life has become a tool with which the radical opposition wants to benefit."
Commenting on these statements, the deputy chairman of the Popular Front Party, Seymur Hazi, called Ahmedov's words "speaking about the extremely dangerous plans of the authorities."
Such assessments only exacerbate the situation, and do not contribute to solving the problem.
Such an approach cannot be considered support for Ilham Aliyev, but on the contrary only complicates his position, Hazi said. -21B-
