Armenia Gains Control Over the Zangezur Corridor: Prospects for a Peace Treaty with Azerbaijan Rise

These talks come at a time when both countries face international pressure to resolve their conflict and move towards stability.

As Georgia gears up for parliamentary elections on October 26, 2024, the country finds itself at a political crossroads. Armenia and Azerbaijan are reported to have reached full agreement on 13 out of 16 articles of a draft peace treaty, according to Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. Speaking at a briefing in Yerevan on September 9, alongside his Luxembourg counterpart, Mirzoyan expressed optimism about the potential for the peace agreement to be signed soon.
