First Ministerial Council for Culture of Eastern Partnership to Be Held in Tbilisi
Tbilisi/25.06.13/Turan-BS PRESS: The First Conference of Ministers of Culture of the Eastern Partnership will be held in Tbilisi June 27-28, the Information Center of the European Neighborhood reported.
Organizers of the event are the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia and the European Commission.
 
The conference will assess the intermediate results of the cultural program Eastern Partnership, the press release said.
 
The cultural program Eastern Partnership with a budget of EUR 12 million is intended to help partner countries in reforming their cultural policies at the government level as well as in capacity building and improving the professionalism of the operators of cultural industries in the region.
 
The program is aimed at strengthening regional cultural links and dialogue in the region of Eastern Partnership, as well as between organizations and cultural figures the EU and the countries of the Eastern region of the European Neighborhood Policy. -02D-
