The Hong Kong University published a book by Azerbaijani scientist Jamil Hasanli
Baku/10.04.21/Turan: The Hong Kong University Publishing House has published a book by Azerbaijani scientist Jamil Hasanli about East Turkestan in Chinese. The book tells about the victories and tragedies of the Uighurs, other Turkic and Muslim peoples of East Turkestan in 1930-1950. Hasanli said that the publication of the book in Hong Kong passed thropugh difficulties, nevertheless, this work was finally published.
“The book was translated into Chinese by Professor Yang Shu. This is the third edition of this book since it was published in Moscow and Harvard. The book is currently being translated into Turkish in Turkey,” Hasanli said.
The book covers the 20-year (1930-1950) struggle of the Turkic and Muslim peoples (Uighurs, Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Kyrgyz, Tatars, Dungans, etc.) against the Chinese regime.
The work describes the political portraits of the leaders of these peoples Sabit Domullah, Khoja Niyaz Hadji, Alikhan Torah, Ahmedjan Gasimi, Abdulkerim Abbasov, Osman Batyr, Isakhan Monunov, Delalkhan Sugurbayev, Masud Sabri, Muhammad Emin Bugry, Altesa Yusa and others.-0-

Ahmet Güneştekin answered questions from Turan Information Agency a few days after the opening of his solo exhibition, Lost Alphabet, held in the 8,000-square-meter indoor halls of the Feshane Cultural Center, managed by the Istanbul Municipality.
