2630 tankers shipped from Ceyhan oil terminal
Since June 2, 2006 till December 2, 2013 Turkish BOTAS International Limited (BIL) company about 1.82 billion barrels of oil has been shipped from the Ceyhan oil terminal against 1.8 billion barrels by November 1, 2013, reads the information posted on the BIL official web site on Monday.
Since 2001 BIL has been operating the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline on the territory of Turkey.
The information reads that during this period 2660 tankers with oil against 2330 tankers by November 1, 2013 has been shipped from the Ceyhan terminal.
Total length of the BTC oil pipeline is 1768 km, of which 443 km pass through Azerbaijan, 249 km through Georgia and 1076 km through Turkey. The pipeline construction started in April 2003 and it was filled with oil on may 18, 2005.
The shareholders of BTC Co, which was established on August 1, 2002 to implement the project, are BP (30.1%), SOCAR (25%), Chevron (8.9%), Statoil (8.71%), ТРАО (6.53%), Eni (5%), Total (5%), Itochu (3.4%), Inpex (2.5%), ConocoPhillips (2.5%) and ONGC (2.36%). –0—
