From January to November 2012 SOCAR reduced oil shipment from Novorossiysk port by 13.7%
During 11 months, 2013 oil shipment by State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) from the Russian Novorossiysk port reduced by 14%, according to SOCAR’s data.
The same source said that during this period 1,581,660 tons of oil exported via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline has been shipped from the Novorossiysk port. During 11 months, 2013 oil export via the northern route decreased by 13.7% against the same period last year.
In November 2013 SOCAR shipped 84,082 tons of Azerbaijani oil from the Novorossiysk port.
Since 1997 Azerbaijan has been transporting its oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.
In 2012 SOCAR exported 2,064,000 tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.
In 2013 SOCAR plans to transport 1.8 million tons of Azerbaijani oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.—0—

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance.
