The Foundation of Export Promotion and Investment in Azerbaijan (AZPROMO) on March 6 held a meeting with representatives of business and official bodies in Afghanistan. On a business visit to Baku is a group of business people from Afghanistan, working in the areas of production of marble, healthcare, aviation, and ICT.
The press service of the Ministry of Economic Development told Turan the Executive Director of AZPROMO Rufat Mammadov made a presentation on the possibilities of export of goods to Afghanistan.
The Deputy Secretary of Commerce and Industry of Afghanistan Han Jang Alokzai informed the Azerbaijani side of the business environment in the country and the possibilities for establishing trade relations between the public and private sectors of the two countries.
The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan exported goods for a total of $ 119.9 million to Afghanistan in 2012, up 20% over the previous year. No goods were imported from Afghanistan. - 08D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
