JSC Azerbaijan Investment Company (AIC) signed a contract with the British consulting company IDTechEx for the study of the prospects for the production of carbon nanotubes (CNTs).
As the Public Procurement Agency said, the British company will render consulting services for analysis of the potential partner and the proposed technology for the production and assessment of global trends by product CNTs. The amount of the contract between the parties is $ 45,000 without taxes.
In December 2014 in Baku a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Sumgait Chemical-Industrial Park (SCIP), AIC and Southwest Nano Technologies (USA). The former two are going to cooperate in the production of CNTs in the territory of SCIP. Pre it comes to producing 1,000 tons per year.
Note that the nanotube is a cylindrical nanomaterial consisting solely of carbon atoms. Heavy-duty material is used in the production of various industries.
