Announced 40% Reduction of Tariffs for Transit Cargo Transportation
The Coordination Council for Transit Freight Traffic (CCTFT) of Azerbaijan announced on November 2 to reduce the cost of multi-ton cargo vehicles for transit through the territory of the country in the direction of the sea ports of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan by about 40%.
The Ministry of Economy and Industry announced that this was achieved by simplifying procedures and reducing transit fees for various service vehicles. There is only the fact of reduction of tariffs on ferry transport of CJSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping on the route Baku-Aktau by 20%. On the other details of the revision of the transit transport is not reported.

In August this year the first train Nomad Express, which consists of 82 containers, proceeded from China to Europe via the Trans-Caspian international transport route. The shipping container train from China to the port of Alat took only 6 days.
JSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company in November held a presentation of the Trans-Caspian international transport routes in Chongqing (China), Kiev, Istanbul and Klaipeda (Lithuania). The possibility of using this route for freight transport in Europe was also discussed by the delegation of CJSC Azerbaijani Railways headed by Chairman Javid Gurbanov during his visit to Beijing in late November. ---08D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
