AZAL introduced new rules for transportation of expectant mothers
August 1, CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines introduces new rules for transport of pregnant women, pregnant women and newborn babies. From now on, future mothers can determine for themselves the possibility of transportation by air and take into account a possible threat to your health or the health of your child, based on their state of health or the baby's health during air transport.
Carriage by flights of CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines is not allowed for:
o Pregnant women - for pregnancies over 32 weeks;
o Pregnant women - within 7 days after delivery.
Newborn accepted for the AZAL flights in due course just over the age of 7 days of age and accompanied by his mother, father, or any other passenger, responsible for the infant.
In pregnancy over 26 weeks (including 32 weeks), a passenger of need to submit a certificate from the attending physician authorized airline representative, supporting information on the state of her health, pregnancy and its type (single or multiple pregnancy). There should also be information about the absence of women pregnancy abnormalities, risk of miscarriage or premature birth, which do not admit the possibility of her air transport.
In pregnancy of a passenger for up to 26 weeks in case of a possible negative impact on the lives and health of women (and the unborn child), she needs to get on a specific airline consent form to waive any claims against the airline (in the case of confirmation of this result and the reasons for transportation). - 08D-
