Belarus Intends to Expand Its Network of Stores in Azerbaijan
As part of today's visit of Belarus President to Baku the Deputy Prime Minister of this country Vladimir Semashko visited the first Belarusian goods store in Baku on Narimanov Avenue (near the State Statistics Committee).
According to him, direct deliveries of Belarusian enterprises with environmental friendly products ensure no counterfeit and substandard goods, which affects popularity. “The network will be expanded to the cities of Ganja and Nakhchivan, and in the future, to other settlements,” he said.
Recall that the store opened on 18 April this year. It sells meat, dairy and other products from the CIS countries. --17D-

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less. This robust reserve position reflects Azerbaijan's fiscal stability and the government’s strategic economic management.
