Business Delegation from Spain Visits Baku
On April 26 the Baku Business Center will host a business forum with the participation of the delegation of representatives of more than 20 Spanish companies, Turan was told in the Fund for Promoting Export and Investments in Azerbaijan (AZPROMO).
Spanish companies are engaged in such business areas as construction, transport, energy, industry, agriculture, environmental protection, consulting, etc.
The business forum will be held in the framework of the visit of the Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia Margallo to Baku.
According to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, in the first quarter of this year the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Spain amounted to $ 37.8 million, having decreased over the year by about $ 100 million. Spain ($ 11.7 million) for this period increased its exports by 17%, and Azerbaijan in connection with the decline in oil prices reduced the export in value terms by 80%. -----08D

The 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change has taken a significant step towards a unified global response to climate change. On the first day of discussions in Baku, participating countries reached a historic agreement on the rules governing the creation and trade of carbon credits.
