Capacity of underground gas storage facilities in Azerbaijan increased up to 5 billion m3 - Rovnag Abdullayev
Formerly underground storage volume of Azerbaijan allowed us to store 800 million cubic meters of gas. As a result of work done in this area of ??work today these gas storage capacity increased by 8 times and increased up to 5 billion m3.
This was stated by the president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev yesterday, speaking at a conference on implementation of the State program of socio- economic development of regions.
According to him, in 2013, was pumped into storage 3.5 billion m3 of gas. " In connection with the onset of cold weather, from the system of storage facilities we supply 25-26 million m3 of "blue fuel" per 24 hours, that is, as much as extracted from Shah Deniz every day," he reported to the President.
