Completed EU project on livestock in Azerbaijan
The State Veterinary Service (SVS) under the Ministry of Agriculture on Wednesday held a ceremony marking the completion implemented since April 2011 twinning project of the European Union's "Animal identification and support the preparation of a national system for registration of business."
Agriculture Minister Ismat Abbasov said at the event, that the lack of a numbering system pets is one of the factors hindering the fight against epizootic diseases, and the export of thoroughbred horses.
The project 53 veterinarian of 12 regions of the country have been trained and participated in various workshops in the EU.
Experts made proposals for changes in local laws (laws "On veterinary", "On horse breeding"), providing for his unification of the EU. Also expected to change the structure of domestic hot water, a new system of registration of livestock and farms, the introduction of registration of animals on each of the species, etc.
According to Abbasov, the improvement of animal health will solve the food security of the country until 2015. -08D-
