Customs Duties on Several Imported Goods Revised in Azerbaijan
By resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on September 23 for №367, Azerbaijan has revised customs duties on a number of imported goods. The initiative to improve the customs duties by the Ministry of Economy was supported by the Ministry of Finance and the State Customs Committee.
According to this decision (https://goo.gl/Sqr4bO), new tariffs have been set on the import of a number of food products, depending on the units and the customs value. The list includes:
Chicken and chicken products (duty - 1 $ / kg)
Food eggs ($ 100 per 1,000)
Onions ($ 0.2 per 1 kg)
Cucumbers, tomatoes, grapes ($ 0.4 per 1 kg)
Hazelnuts ($ 1.5 per 1 kg)
Apples and pears ($ 0.3 per 1 kg)
Fruit and vegetable juices as well as drinks on the basis of these juices (15% of the customs value, but not less than $ 0.7 per 1 liter)
Bentonite ($ 0.03 per 1 kg)
Gypsum, cement and clinker ($ 0.07 per 1 kg)
Products on the basis of plaster ($ 0.4 per 1 sq. m)
Building blocks based on cement and bricks (1 $ 0.04 per kg)
Ceramic ($ 0.04 per 1 kg)
Building bricks ($ 15 per 1,000)
Ceramic plates ($ 2 per 1 sq. m)
Some fruits are used seasonal tariffs.
The document is published in the official press on October 2. It will enter into force 30 days after publication in the press and will be valid for 2 years. ------08D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
