Criminal cases initiated regarding the illegal extraction of natural resources
The General Prosecutor's Office conducted an investigation into the illegal mining and unlawful land seizure in the Garadagh, Binagadi, and Khazar districts of Baku, as well as in the Terter region. Facts of illegal extraction of building stone, sand, and gravel were established, carried out by unknown individuals who unlawfully seized land plots.
As a result, damage to the environment amounted to more than 354,000 manat, caused by LLC "I.KSS" at the limestone deposit "Turkan-I" in the Khazar district, as well as by LLC "Azeri" at the sand and gravel deposit "Terterchay" in the Terter region, and in the village of Goradil Baglar in the Binagadi district of Baku.
Criminal cases have been initiated under Articles 188.1 (violation of the right to property, use, or lease of land), 255.1, 255.2 (violating the rules for the protection and use of subsoil), 308.1 (abuse of official authority), and 308.2 (abuse of official authority causing severe consequences) of the Criminal Code and have been sent for investigation to the Investigative Department of the General Prosecutor's Office and the internal affairs authorities.
