Free gas consumers in Azerbaijan
All mosques and other religious temples in Azerbaijan will be supplied with free gas, according to the decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, reads the official web site of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
Until now Azerbaijan has never had a category of customers, who would get natural gas for free.
According to the State Committee for Religious Organizations, at present Azerbaijan has 1834 mosques. There are three Orthodox and one Catholic churches and two synagogues in Baku.
At present all customers in Azerbaijan pay $128 per 1000 cub.m. of gas. –12D--

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
