German E.ON company decided to strengthen its relationships with SOCAR

German E.ON company has opened its office in Baku, reported SOCAR.

The same source said that the session of the SOCAR and E.ON Coordination Committee took place in Baku on Thursday.

At the session SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev has positively assessed cooperation between the two companies. He expressed interest in cooperation with E.ON, especially considering SOCAR’s plans to implement such big international projects as TANAP, TAP and etc.

Various presentations have been held and the protocol has been signed during the Committee session.

E.ON Se is the biggest German energy company with the headquarters based in Dusseldorf.

On September 19, 2013 SOCAR and E.ON signed the contract to purchase-sell gas extracted from the Shah-Deniz Phase 2 during 25 years beginning from 2019. German company will buy Azeri gas from the trans-Adriatic pipeline (TAP) for its energy projects in Italy. E.ON is also the shareholder of TAP, in which it owns 9%.—0—
