Government Forecasts Main Types of Food
By increasing the area under beet production and the production capacity the Azerbaijani government predicts growth of output of granulated and refined sugar from 423,100 last year up to 620 800 tons (+ 68%) in 2018. This is the most optimistic forecast of the Cabinet on the basic food groups. In the interim, it is expected that this year it will be 456 300, next year - 516 500, in 2016 – 559 000, and in 2017 - 603 900 tons of this production.
Bread and bakery products in the past year amounted to 741,800 tons, this year is expected to be 748,600 tons, in 2015 - 757,400 tons, in 2016 - 766,300 tons, in 2017 - 775 200 tons, and in 2018 - 784 000 tons.
On flour the position is as follows: last year it was 1,437,600 tons, this year it is expected to be 1,450,800 tons, 2015 – 1 467 900 tons, 2016 – 1 485 100 tons, 2017 – 1 502 200 tons, 2018 – 1 519 400 tons.
Dietary salt was produced in 27 456.1 tons, this year it is expected 27 975.7 tons, in the following year - 28 426,9 tons, in 2016 - 30 344,6 tons, in 2017 - 31 585,5 tons, and in 2018 - 34 969,7 tons.
Last year there was produced 100 200 tons of vegetable oil, this year it will be a little more than expected - 105 400 tons, next year - 110 800, in 2016 - 116 500, in 2017 - 122 600, and in 2018 - 128 900 tons.
Last year butter was produced in 21,900 tons, the expectations for this year are 24,300 tons, next year - 26 800, 2016 - 29 500, 2017 - 32,400, and 2018 - 35 600 tons.
Figures for cheese and cottage cheese are: last year there was produced 47,300 tons, this year it is expected to be 52,500, next year - 57 800, in 2016 - 63 600, in 2017 - 70 000, and in 2018 - 76 900 tons. --17D--
