Highway virtual information between the EU and CIS countries has become eligible for full existence.
At Azerbaijan's initiative the second committee of the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted by consensus a resolution on "Access to the Internet by creating a trans-European high-speed information highway" (TASIM).
According to the report, members of the UN will help bridge the gap in digital technologies. Sponsors of the draft resolution adopted by the committee are Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russian Federation, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. The document welcomes the creation of the trans-European project for high-speed information highway, which is designed to promote the modernization and diversification of telecommunication links between Asia and Europe. - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
