Household income grew by 15 %
Household incomes in Azerbaijan in 2012 totaled for each family member on average 190.9 manat per month, which is 15 % more than the previous year. The share of wages accounts for less than one third of this amount. This is stated in the report of the State Statistics Committee on the analysis of the household budget for the year 2012.
In 2012, the cost of living was defined at the level of AZN 108 per month. According to the estimates of GCS , only 1.8 % of households earning less than 110 per month manat.
In addition, the estimated SSC, 7.5 % of the budget of families (14.4 manats for each family member) in Azerbaijan are formed by the aid received from other families in the country. Probably, there is also the factor of bribery. It is difficult to find any other explanation. For each family member in Azerbaijan in 2012, cash transfers in the amount of AZN 5.3 were received per family member per month from abroad. This is 15.2% more than in 2011. It is argued that the majority of remittances are from Russia.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the structure of income in 2012 was as follows: employment - 62.1 manat (compared with 2011 plus 14.1 %), from safe employment - 48.6 manat (+15.1 %), from agricultural operations - 26.3 (+12.8 %), pensions - 27.4 manat (+8.1 %). Income from leasing property per family member per month was 1.5 manat (AZN 0.1), and the use of property - 0.4 manats (0).
Families in which the head is an employee, in 2012, had 198 manat per capita , farm worker - 170.6 manat, pensioner - 191.6 manat , safe busy man - 188.9 manat. In families in which the head is of a different socio -economic status, they have incomes far more - 215.9 manat per month.
According to official data, in 2012, 5.4 % of households per capita had more than 300 manats a month. In urban areas, the figure was 6.9 %, and in the city of Baku - 10.5%. According to statistics, in the city of Baku in 37.7% of households each family member had in 2012 more than 200 manat per month. For comparison, in the Absheron economic region more than 200 manat earn 19.9 % of the families.
