Information spread by the media on the appointment of a preparatory session on the case against former deputy Guler Ahmadova in Baku Court of Grave Crimes on September 30 has not been confirmed. Reporters were told that a preparatory meeting would be held on October 21. The case shall be presided over by Judge Alisultan Osmanov.
Afsar Tagiyev, lawyer for the former deputy, said he did not receive information about the date of the preparatory meeting.
Guler Ahmadova is accused on the articles 178.3.2 (fraud, misappropriation of another's property in a large size, abuse of trust) and 307.2 (concealment of a serious crime.) On both charges, she could face imprisonment for up to 12 years with confiscation of property.
