HP Will Provide E-security of Government of Azerbaijan

The increased number of important government information leak forced the leadership to open e-security center under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan. In early March, the structure is established, after which the Minister Ali Abbasov appointed its leader - CEO IntraNS Faiq Farmanov.

More than six months in this direction by an international team of well-known corporations HP. According to her manager of network and information security solutions in Central and Eastern Europe, Vasil Kostov, world development is such that the level of security depends on the well-being not only of individuals and companies, but also the states. Among the companies that may offer similar solutions, it is the leader HP, which determined the choice of the MCIT.

In an interview with Bulgarian http://www.infocity.az/?p=9917 the expert noted that they have the solutions to modernize networks, including vertical solutions for building e-government, etc.

"Our team consists of Baku polyvalent professionals (thoroughly versed in the issues in the field of cyber security and network solutions), which is the norm. Networks are the link that makes contact between the user and any application, between the organization and the "cloud", etc. If we have a kind of information system, completely isolated from everything and everyone, then the issue of security will stand only on a physical level. But if the system is in any way connected to other systems, if there are different ways to access it, the different levels of user rights, it turns out that the question of the existence of an optimal binding managers are so interdependent that they lead, in fact, a single integrated solution ' - he says.

The project - the first in the CIS, but in Bulgaria have similar solutions - for example, Security Operation & Mission Critical Control Center. It works not only for NR, but also for some customers worldwide. There are tracked potential threats that could lead to real problems in terms of cyber security and safety in general business. From the point of view of the consequences, as the practice of the research, any force majeure situations, natural disasters or acts of terrorism have the same consequences, and therefore it is impossible to overestimate the importance of ongoing monitoring center.

Azerbaijani project can be carried out from 2 months to 3 years (it all depends on the amount of the security of the state as such, including all institutions of government, all government organizations and private companies, even including some way citizens).

"If we come to believe that the first step is to take the most extreme measures and to quickly achieve success, then it will take months. Everything is relative, and much depends on the vision of the client, the next evolution of the situation and other factors. HP's portfolio of solutions for information security in the years filled with TippingPoint, ArcSight, Fortify, and many others. That is, we are very serious about ensuring that all work together to constitute a comprehensive proposal to meet the different needs of our customers. Most consumers tend, at least initially, to the systems familiar to them. The main criteria on which most of the customers choose a solution - it's brand recognition, the use of it earlier feedback from colleagues about it. But we try to offer something that has not been applied in practice in the region, as our major customers - this is America, and Region EMEA ", said an informed source.

He believes that in Azerbaijan there is a desire for novelty. It is these countries and represent a serious concern to HP.

"With such a prospect for the development of the ICT sector, fully supported by the government and the Ministry of Communications, HP will strive to become a trusted supplier of services and solutions that show the capabilities of the company, to jointly implement projects and develop local expertise in innovative solutions. We want to stay ahead and even anticipate events and projects undertaken today will form the basis of a new phase of HP business in Azerbaijan," said Kostov. - 17D-
