In Azerbaijan, Rescheduled Inspection of Vehicles
The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution on August 21 Amendments to the "model policy on the rules of the passage of the state technical inspection of motor vehicles and their trailers."
Under the changes , tractors and other used in agriculture and forestry, motor vehicles , sports cars controversial , technological vehicles not designed for the road network , buses, goods vehicles the permissible maximum weight of 3.5 tons, special equipment for transportation dangerous goods to be inspected once a year. This requirement also applies to trams and trolley buses, though these electric modes of transportation for 10 years have been destroyed in Baku, Sumgait and other cities. A small trolleybus line is preserved in Mingachevir. With regard to exemptions from public inspection of the listed vehicles are subject to technical inspection at the expiration of the first year after graduation.
All other motor vehicles, their trailers and semi-trailers are exempt from passing the state inspection for four years after graduation. After this period, they have to pass inspection every two years, and after 10 years - every year.
State technical inspection carried out by the Ministry of the Interior from the 1st January to the 31st of October.
The number of motor vehicles in the country has reached 1.2 million units. Year over 50% of them exceeds 10 years.
